-HOW IT WORKS-

One Weekend a Month, One-of-a-Kind Finds

The Red Apron operates on a simple but powerful idea: open less, offer more. Every third Friday and Saturday of the month, our warehouse in Liberty fills up with fresh inventory from 20 passionate vendors. Each seller resets their space in the days before the sale, meaning roughly 75% of what you see on the floor is brand new every single month. Whether you are hunting for vintage Pyrex, antique brass pieces, painted furniture, or a statement chair for your living room, the monthly vintage event delivers something different every time you visit. Prices range from around $10 for small treasures all the way to $800 or more for significant furniture pieces, making it an approachable experience for every kind of shopper.

-VINTAGE MARKET DATES-

When Is the Vintage Market Open?

The standard schedule for The Red Apron is the third Friday and Saturday of each month, with doors open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There is one important exception: every December, the market shifts to the first Friday and Saturday of the month to celebrate our anniversary. Because inventory is one-of-a-kind and Friday mornings can feel a lot like Black Friday, we recommend arriving early. Items sell fast, and the best finds do not wait. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages for monthly previews posted the week before each sale so you know what to look for when you arrive.

-WHAT TO EXPECT-

A Pop-Up Antique Sale Unlike Anything Nearby

Walking into The Red Apron feels more like attending an event than running an errand. The warehouse is packed with thousands of items across every category: vintage and modern home decor, handmade products from local artisans, antique furniture, jewelry, baby items, KC gear, and seasonal pieces that change with the time of year. Our vendors are present on the floor during the sale, ready to share the story behind their pieces and help you find exactly what you are looking for. If you fall in love with something heavy, our staff will happily help you load it into your car. After the sale, Liberty Square is just minutes away with restaurants and coffee shops to round out your day.

-YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED-

What You Want to Know Before You Go

  • What days and hours is the monthly vintage market open?

The Red Apron is open the third Friday and Saturday of each month from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The one exception is December, when the market moves to the first Friday and Saturday of the month to mark the store's anniversary. Because the sale only runs two days a month, arriving early is strongly recommended, especially on Friday mornings when foot traffic is highest and the best one-of-a-kind pieces tend to sell quickly.
  • How much of the inventory is new at each monthly sale?

About 75% of the store's inventory is reset every month. All 20 vendors refresh their spaces in the days leading up to the sale, which means the majority of what you find on any given visit will not have been there the month before. This high turnover rate is a core part of what keeps shoppers coming back. The remaining inventory may include longer-term statement pieces or furniture items that take a bit more time to find the right home.
  • I heard GPS directions can be unreliable. How do I find the warehouse?

Standard GPS and Google Maps do not reliably locate the warehouse, so landmark-based directions work best. From Liberty, drive half a mile from the William Jewell College Mabee Center. After the railroad bridge, look for the green highway sign for Excelsior Springs and Kearney, then turn onto the gravel road at the Red Apron sign. From Kearney or Excelsior Springs, take B Highway to the intersection of B and H Highways, turn right on H, and the gravel road will be immediately on your right. Follow the sign about 100 yards to the warehouse.
  • What kinds of items can I expect to find at the pop-up antique sale?

The inventory spans a wide range of categories. You can find painted and antique furniture, vintage home decor like brass pieces, Pyrex, and artwork, modern and seasonal home accents, handmade products from local artisans, jewelry, baby items, and Kansas City-themed gear and apparel. Because 20 different vendors curate their own spaces, the selection feels eclectic and varied. Prices start around $10 for smaller finds and can reach $800 or more for significant furniture or rare antique pieces.
  • Will staff help me load large furniture purchases into my vehicle?

Yes. Staff at The Red Apron are happy to help you load heavy items into your vehicle, and customers regularly mention this in reviews. If you are planning to shop for furniture or other large pieces, it helps to bring a vehicle with enough cargo space, but the team on the floor will handle the heavy lifting so you do not have to manage it alone.
  • Is the market accessible for casual shoppers, or is it geared toward serious collectors?

The market is designed to be welcoming for all types of shoppers. The pricing range is broad by design, with plenty of items in the $10 to $50 range for casual visitors alongside higher-end furniture and rare finds for more serious collectors. The vendors are present and approachable, so no special knowledge is needed to enjoy the experience. Many customers describe their visit as a monthly treat or social outing rather than a structured shopping trip.
  • How far do shoppers typically travel to attend, and is it worth the drive?

Shoppers regularly make the trip from Liberty, Kearney, Smithville, Gladstone, North Kansas City, Blue Springs, Kansas City, Platte City, St. Joseph, and Independence. The store has been voted Best of the Northland for six consecutive years, which reflects how far its reputation reaches. Many visitors pair the trip with lunch or coffee near Liberty Square, turning it into a full day out. Given that 75% of the inventory is new every month, repeat visitors consistently find the drive worthwhile.
